Who we are

A family business - by choice, not by chance.

Founded in 2014 by Adrian and Amanda Welke, NAC (Domestic Appliances) Ltd is one of the UK's largest independent domestic appliance repair specialists, helping homeowners repair thousands of appliances every month.

Our nationwide network of experienced engineers repair all major domestic appliance types, including washing machines, tumble dryers, dishwashers, ovens, cookers, hobs, fridge freezers, refrigeration appliances and microwaves.

Unlike many repair providers, our focus is entirely on helping customers keep appliances working safely and reliably after the manufacturer's warranty has expired. Every repair begins with a professional assessment by an experienced engineer, allowing faults to be diagnosed accurately before any repair work is recommended.

Since opening our doors, we've booked more than 652,763 repairs across the UK, building extensive technical knowledge covering thousands of appliance models from all major manufacturers.

Today, our mission remains unchanged: to provide honest advice, professional repairs and outstanding customer service while helping homeowners extend the life of their appliances and reduce unnecessary waste.

What we do

Out-of-warranty appliance repair, done properly.

We repair the appliances households rely on, in the home, at a fixed price, across every major brand.

Repair first

We're technicians, not salespeople. Our job is to fix your appliance, not to talk you into buying a new one.

Fixed price

The price is agreed before any work begins, with no hourly meters and no nasty surprises on the final bill.

Every brand

From Bosch and Samsung to Hotpoint, Beko and Miele, our engineers cover the full multi-brand range with ease.

Repair guarantee

Where we offer a repair guarantee, the period is set out clearly and in full before you decide to proceed.

Meet the engineers

The people behind every completed repair.

Every repair is carried out by an NAC engineer or one of our service partners. Through our in-house Show You're a Pro programme, service partners can work through our CPD accredited training modules and apply for City & Guilds accreditation, so everyone is held to the same multi-brand standard. Here are a few of the people behind our 652,763+ repair bookings.

Repair intelligence

Experience built through hundreds of thousands of repairs.

Every appliance repair teaches something.

Across more than 652,763 domestic appliance repair bookings, our engineers have built an extensive understanding of how appliances fail, which faults occur most frequently and which repairs deliver the best long-term results.

This practical experience helps our engineers diagnose faults efficiently, identify common manufacturer issues and recommend the most appropriate repair for each appliance.

It's also why we're continually expanding our technical advice, fault guides and repair resources, sharing genuine knowledge from real repairs carried out in customers' homes every day.

For homeowners, that means advice based on practical engineering experience rather than theory alone.

Our team are happy to talk it through

Who are NAC?
NAC (Domestic Appliances) Ltd is a family-run, independent appliance repair company founded in 2014 and based in Wakefield. We are one of the UK's largest independent providers of out-of-warranty domestic appliance repairs.
What does out-of-warranty mean?
We repair appliances that are no longer covered by a manufacturer warranty or service plan. You come to us directly, with no tie-ins, and pay a fixed price agreed up front.
Are your engineers employed or self-employed?
Both. We have employed engineers and a vetted network of self-employed service partners, all held to the same standards and trained to a multi-brand level at our City & Guilds Assured centre.
Do you really train British Gas engineers?
Yes. British Gas partners with NAC to train their nationwide engineers in multi-brand domestic appliance repair at our Wakefield training centre.
Where do you cover?
Most of England, Scotland and Wales, through our nationwide engineer network. You can check your postcode on our coverage page.
What appliances do you repair?
Washing machines, tumble dryers, ovens and cookers, fridge freezers, dishwashers and more, across all the major brands. If it is a domestic white good, there is a good chance we cover it.
How quickly can you get an engineer out?
For most jobs we attend the same or next working day. Once your repair is booked, we text a two-hour arrival window so nobody has to wait in all day.
Are your repairs guaranteed?
Where we offer a guarantee on a repair, the guarantee period is set out clearly before you decide whether to go ahead. What's covered depends on the repair and the parts involved, with the full detail in our terms. Every repair is carried out by an employed NAC engineer or a vetted service partner held to the same standard.
Can I book online?
Yes. You can get a fixed-price quote and confirm an engineer visit online in a couple of minutes, or talk it through with our UK-based booking team Monday to Friday.
