NAC is a family-run business based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. We repair out-of-warranty washing machines, dryers, ovens, fridge freezers and more in homes across England, Scotland and Wales, through a nationwide network of experienced, vetted engineers. Repair first, no upsell, with a price agreed before any work begins.
with thousands more booked every month across England, Scotland and Wales.
Founded in 2014 by Adrian and Amanda Welke, NAC (Domestic Appliances) Ltd is one of the UK's largest independent domestic appliance repair specialists, helping homeowners repair thousands of appliances every month.
Our nationwide network of fully trained engineers repairs all major domestic appliance types, including washing machines, tumble dryers, dishwashers, ovens, cookers, hobs, fridge freezers, refrigeration appliances and microwaves.
Unlike many repair providers, our focus is entirely on helping customers keep appliances working safely and reliably after the manufacturer's warranty has expired. Every repair begins with a professional assessment by an experienced engineer, allowing faults to be diagnosed accurately before any repair work is recommended.
Since opening our doors, we've booked more than 650,000 repairs across the UK, building extensive technical knowledge covering thousands of appliance models from all major manufacturers.
Today, our mission remains unchanged: to provide honest advice, professional repairs and outstanding customer service while helping homeowners extend the life of their appliances and reduce unnecessary waste.
We repair the appliances households rely on, in the home, at a fixed price, across every major brand.
We are technicians, not salespeople. Our job is to fix your appliance, not talk you into a new one.
The price is agreed before any work starts. No hourly meters, no surprises on the bill.
Bosch, Beko, Samsung, Hotpoint, Miele and more, our engineers cover the full multi-brand range.
Every repair is guaranteed in writing, by an employed or vetted service-partner engineer.
Every repair is carried out by an employed NAC engineer or a vetted service partner, trained to the same multi-brand standard at our own City & Guilds Assured centre, never a faceless call-out. Here are just a few of the people behind our 650,000+ repair bookings.

Every appliance repair teaches something.
Across more than 650,000 domestic appliance repair bookings, our engineers have built an extensive understanding of how appliances fail, which faults occur most frequently and which repairs deliver the best long-term results.
This practical experience helps our engineers diagnose faults efficiently, identify common manufacturer issues and recommend the most appropriate repair for each appliance.
It's also why we're continually expanding our technical advice, fault guides and repair resources, sharing genuine knowledge gained from real repairs carried out in customers' homes every day.
For homeowners, that means advice based on practical engineering experience rather than theory alone.

Our Wakefield training centre earned City & Guilds Assured status in 2022. It is where we develop our own engineers to a multi-brand standard, and where British Gas sends its nationwide engineers to be trained by us. Every engineer, whether employed by NAC or one of our vetted service partners, is held to the same rigorous standard before they ever set foot in a customer's home.
Not the usual promises. These are the things most repair companies simply can't say.
Every repair we carry out helps reduce unnecessary waste and the demand for new manufacturing. By repairing instead of replacing, you save money, extend the life of your appliance and make a positive choice for the environment.
Our engineers contribute technical guidance to Whitegoods Help, an independent appliance advice resource online since 2000. Free fault guides, error codes and honest buying help, backed by the people who repair these appliances every day.
The NAC Advice Centre has plain-English articles on common faults, error codes and everyday appliance care, written by the people who repair them for a living.
From a spare bedroom in 2014 to a nationwide network with its own accredited training centre.
2014 NAC is founded by Adrian and Amanda Welke, from a spare bedroom in Wakefield.
2015 NAC moves out of the spare bedroom into its own private office, with space to take on more repairs and customers.
2018 The team moves into a larger standalone building in a Wakefield office park, with room for a growing team.
2020 NAC opens an in-house training centre and hires a dedicated Training Manager for internal and external training.
2021 NAC buys its own building, bringing the call centre and training centre together under one roof.
2022 British Gas partners with NAC to train their nationwide engineers in multi-brand domestic appliance repair.
From the Highlands to the South West, our engineers cover most of England, Scotland and Wales. It is a real, branded network of local engineers rather than a faceless call-centre operation, so most jobs get a visit the same or next working day, and we text a two-hour arrival window ahead of time so nobody has to wait in all day.

Real reviews from real customers across the UK. 30,746 of them on Trustpilot and counting. Honest write-ups of what was wrong, what we did, and how it went.
Booked online in the evening, engineer was round by lunchtime the following day. Diagnosed the drum bearing on the spot, fitted a new one, machine's quieter than the day I bought it. Saved me a whole new appliance.
Honest and quick. Quoted me £140 over the phone for a new fan motor, charged me £140 on the day. No upselling, no hidden bits. Refreshing.
American-style fridge stopped cooling on a Friday evening. NAC fit me in the next morning and had it running again by lunchtime. The engineer talked me through what had gone wrong and didn't try to flog me a part I didn't need.
Dryer stopped heating mid-cycle. Booked Sunday night, engineer round Tuesday morning, new element fitted and tested in under an hour. Exactly the price they quoted on the phone.
Wouldn't drain and the kitchen smelled awful. The engineer found a blocked pump, cleared it and checked the seals while he was at it. Friendly, tidy and no pushy upselling.
Coffee machine kept tripping the electrics. Diagnosed a faulty board, ordered the part and came back two days later to fit it. Only knocked a star for the wait, but they kept me updated the whole way.
We sponsor grassroots football and support causes close to home, from charity sides raising awareness for families affected by baby loss to junior teams just starting out. Giving something back to the communities our engineers live and work in has mattered to us since the beginning, and it is something the whole team takes real pride in.
