In this article, we’re going to talk through how to change the bulb inside your fridge.
Due to the electrical component involved, we strongly recommend that you safely isolate the machine from the power by unplugging it before carrying out any maintenance work. It is also advisable to wear protective gloves to provide a measure of cut-resistance when handling fragile glass bulbs.
To change a fridge bulb, follow the steps below.
In many fridges, this cover is simply clipped or slid into place and can be easily levered out, however in others there is a small screw holding it in place.
Although fridge bulbs appear almost identical to oven bulbs, oven bulbs are rated to a higher temperature. Therefore, a bulb designed for a fridge would not work in an oven but an oven bulb would work in a fridge.
