The first telephone call that I made was promptly answered by a helpful lady who arranged for an engineer who could attend the next day. He did so and fixed one of the two appliances which gone wrong (our dishwasher). It looks as if our extract fan is outdated and it is going to take time to see if the part is still available. He was knowledgeable and expert. Other websites may well be convenient for the promoters but are a very impersonal, computer-driven process which feels remote and impersonal.
