Had a visit from Kingston, who quickly diagnosed the problem with the dishwasher, sourced the part, and quoted a price for the repair. He subsequently turned up on the chosen day, fitted said part, and had the machine up and running in no time. All good communication, no fuss, no mess. These appliance failures are always inconvenient, but much easier to deal with when left to the professionals.
Despite some initial issue over the timing, and my need to be out before the end of the 3h window, the engineer juggled his schedule and turned up in good time.
He diagnosed the problem with our Miele dishwasher in about 5 minutes, knew exactly what to fix, and within 10-15 mins had pulled the machine out, taken off the side, managed the very fiddly replacement of an O-ring, and put it all back – then started a programme to show it was all fixed. Really shows the benefit of using someone who has seen it before, knows what to do, and can do it well.
From my fear that it was a new pump (£400?) it was actually a £15 O-ring … 🙂

I spoke to NAC on Friday and they quickly sorted out a time slot for an engineer to come and look at my washing machine on Monday. I was advised that I would get a phone call from the engineer to confirm within 6 hours. I can’t remember if it was a phone call, email or text message, but I did get a communication from the local company asking to confirm if the appointment was still suitable to me for that day.
Excellent prompt service. A new part was required that was ordered and fitted quickly.
