Poor heat distribution, broken oven door, a smell of gas, hob not working – fix these issues and more.
In this article, we’re going to talk about adjusting the temperature for your fridge freezer.
However, I am going to focus on temperature controls that are located inside the fridge as these can often work differently than expected.
It is important to be aware that the digits on a temperature control dial located inside a fridge do not indicate temperature in ℃ . They are actually a grading scale of temperature from minimum to maximum with ‘1’ being the warmest setting and ‘6’ being the coldest. On some fridges, this is made clear by the words ‘Min’ and ‘Max’ at opposite ends of the dial.
Monitor the temperature for a few days and if you find it is too cold, turn the temperature down and if it is too cold, turn it up. This can be a case of trial and error over time to reach the correct temperature.
I hope you have found this article helpful, however if you are still experiencing difficulties in getting the correct temperature then it is possible there may be a fault with the appliance.
