Called to fix a 17-year-old washing machine, the repairer didn’t hesitate to confirm that a new circuit board, motor and drum bearings would be much more expensive that replacing the machine. We were very pleased that no attempt was made to profit from an uneconomic repair!
The followed a relaxed and useful discussion of what to look for in a new machine, and where to go (and where not to go!) to buy it. And to avoid extended warranties like the plague!
