Our engineer was on time and polite. He listened while I explained the problem and he then did some tests and established the fault was not with the extractor fan but with the outside cover. He also explained that, due to the age of the appliance (12+ years) if we had needed a new motor it was not now available. Although it was a basic fix, it was outside of our abilities and I was happy to pay for our lovely engineer’s knowledge.
